A native of New York, Lady Galway studied at the Mannes College of Music and with renowned teachers including Julius Baker. As a distinguished soloist, she has appeared with major orchestras and on the world’s great stages, often performing alongside her husband, Sir James Galway. Together, they have brought the beauty of flute music to millions, uniting classical tradition with global outreach.
Beyond performance, Lady Galway is deeply committed to mentoring young musicians and supporting the next generation of flutists through her teaching, workshops, and the Galway Flute Academy.
