Nomination Process

Why Nominate

This nomination recognizes achievements made during the 2025 calendar year.

It’s your chance to honor flutists, educators, ensembles, innovators, and advocates who have inspired others and contributed to the flute community through their exceptional work this year.

By submitting a nomination, you help honor their achievements, amplify their global visibility, and contribute to preserving the culture of excellence within our international community. Recognition can transform careers — learn more in Why Recognition Matters

How to Nominate

1. Review the Categories – Choose the award category that best reflects your nominee’s contributions.

2. Complete the Nomination Form – Submit all required details, achievements, and supporting information through our secure Google Form.

3. Include Supporting Links or Files (Optional) – Add links to performances, interviews, or projects that highlight your nominee’s work. You may also upload supporting files directly through the Google Form.

2. Final Nominees Announced: January 1, 2026


3. Judging Period:  January 1-8, 2026


4. Results Sent to Professional Statistician: January 9, 2026


5. Winners Announced: January 10, 2026

Eligibility

Who Can Be Nominated:

1. Individuals or ensembles who made a significant contribution to the global flute community in 2025.

2. Categories include flutists, educators, composers, makers, innovators, advocates, and ensembles.

3. Self-nominations are welcome.

Who Can Nominate:

1. Anyone may submit one nomination per email address.

2. Multiple nominations from the same address will not be accepted.

1. Preliminary Review

The Flute Almanac team reviews all nominations for completeness and relevance.

2. Jury Evaluation

An international panel of 50+ distinguished judges representing over 20 countries evaluates top candidates in each category. Judges’ identities remain confidential until the announcement of winners to ensure fairness and independence.

3. Statistical Verification

Following jury evaluation, results are independently reviewed by a professional statistician to verify scoring accuracy and ensure fairness in the final outcome.

4. Final Decision

The judges’ decisions are final and cannot be appealed.

 Due to the high volume of submissions, we are unable to respond to individual emails, inquiries, or contact form messages regarding nominations, judging, or results.

4. Ensuring a Valid Nomination

To help verify the authenticity of your nomination, please include as much information as possible, such as detailed achievements in 2025, background, and supporting materials (e.g., video links, official websites, concert programs, press releases, or posters).

5. Withdrawal Policy

 Nominations cannot be withdrawn once submitted.

6. Late Submissions

 Entries received after 11:59 PM EST on December 31, 2025 will not be accepted.

7. Final Decision

All jury results are final and binding.

Can I nominate myself?

Yes. Self-nominations are accepted and encouraged. Please include a clear and detailed explanation of your achievements and why you deserve recognition in the selected category.

Can I nominate someone for multiple categories?

Yes, you may nominate the same person or ensemble for multiple categories if their work fits each one’s specific criteria. Each nomination must include a separate explanation and justification.

What should I include in the nomination?

Each nomination should contain:

1. The nominee’s full name and contact information (if available)

2. A description of their accomplishments in 2025 and why they deserve recognition

3. Optional supporting links such as videos, interviews, or press articles. Please ensure these links are publicly accessible.

What if my nominee is not selected?

Only top candidates proceed to the jury evaluation phase. Even if your nominee is not selected, your nomination helps highlight their achievements and contributions within the global flute community.

What age range applies to the Emerging Artist category?

The Emerging Artist of the Year category honors flutists who are 18–35 years old or within the first 10 years of their professional career. This category recognizes rising artists who show exceptional promise and artistic growth.

What is the Global Flute Excellence Directory?

The Global Flute Excellence Directory is an exclusive professional resource launched in August 2025. It recognizes and connects outstanding flutists, educators, makers, and contributors worldwide.

Award winners will receive a free featured listing, increasing their global visibility and professional recognition.

What is the “Winner 2025” Badge?

The Winner 2025 Digital Badge is an exclusive emblem of recognition awarded to winners. It can be displayed on personal websites, social media, and promotional materials — symbolizing artistic excellence and distinction in the global flute community.
