Denis Verroust is a leading French flutist, scholar, and cultural advocate whose work has significantly shaped the international flute community. Founder and President of the Jean-Pierre Rampal Association (AJPR), he is widely known for his work on the legacy of Jean-Pierre Rampal and is the author of the landmark book Jean-Pierre Rampal – La flûte universelle. His extensive research, publications, and discographic projects have cemented his status as one of the foremost authorities on 20th-century flute performance.

In his role as Artistic Director of La Traversière, he continues to guide major national and international flute initiatives, including conventions, lectures, publications, and cultural projects that bring together leading flutists from around the world. His career spans decades of teaching, performance, research, and editorial leadership, making him one of Europe’s most respected and influential voices in flute history and culture.
